Self-esteem is a psychologist gimmick?
Yes, that is what I believe. People who are about self praise to me are extremely obnoxious, rude, and arrogant.
The moment I talk great about myself or achieve something, others get jealous and envious, so I dont agree that people are attracted to confidence and self esteem.
Women arent. Straight women are about 1 thing only: money. They want kids and a future, so a rich husband means alimony and child support for her, which means = lifelong handouts to her. It is the truth. Security through money. Not confidence, they could care less if the man is confident.
As a straight woman extremely happily married to an unemployed man, I have to disagree with everything you said about women only being about money.
Self esteem is another matter. Confidence and arrogance are two different things. Being certain of yourself is good. Being certain of your superiority over others is not. Nobody like arrogance and it’s not jealousy, it’s detest.
Of course, I try not to hate arrogant people. I know they have to work hard to convince themselves they are superior when in reality they know and I know that I have amazing qualities of my own that they can’t compare to. I just don’t have to broadcast it because I believe my qualities speak for themselves. That’s confidence. The need to broadcast them is arrogance.
